Playing times, regular club days

We welcome visitors, new players, and people interested in trying croquet during winter and summer.

Below are our normal club hours. Members can play casually at other times in the summer season. On occasions, lawns may be closed for a competition or other special event. 

On club days, players must turn up at least 15 minutes before the times listed below to be entered in a game. 

Summer season - September to April

  • Monday During daylight saving, 5.30 pm - 7.00 pm Golf Croquet tournament
  • Tuesday 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm Golf Croquet
  • Wednesday 10.00 am - 12.30 pm Association Croquet. October-November, Golf Croquet interclub matches 9.30 am - 1.00 pm
  • Thursday 9.30 am - 12.30 pm Golf Croquet.
  • Friday 10.00 am - 1.00 pm Association Croquet
  • Saturday 9.30 am - 12.30 pm Golf Croquet. 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm Association Croquet
  • Sunday Any time throughout the day. GC members' self-organised games. October-November, Golf Croquet interclub matches.

Winter season - May to August

We play in fine weather during winter. See Fees and Membership for winter fees. Play is to be on club days only. A reduced number of lawns are in play (check at the clubhouse on the day), and jump shots are not permitted. Any practice is to be off the lawns, on the verges only. We play 30-minute games, under Heretaunga Rules during winter. Read about Heretaunga Rules.
